Use existing DVI sources with HDMI displays
- Connect a DVI source to an HDMI display: Connect devices with a DVI output via the existing DVI cable directly to HDMI inputs.
- Continue using existing DVI cables: Existing cabling remains usable without active converters or re-cabling.
- Stable connection with gold-plated contacts: Reliable signal transfer and reduced contact corrosion.
- Pure digital signal (Single-Link): No quality loss due to analog conversion between DVI-D and HDMI.
The adapter provides a DVI-D 24+1 socket for your existing DVI cable and an HDMI Type A plug for the HDMI port on the display. Video transmission is digital as single-link. Digital audio signals can only be carried if the source provides them over DVI; as a rule, DVI does not carry audio.
In professional IT environments, on-site installations, and service deployments, the adapter facilitates continued use of existing DVI cabling with current HDMI displays. This is particularly helpful in meeting rooms, auditoriums, and in digital signage installations in companies and public institutions.
