The USB 2.0 to 2x RS232 adapter cable expands systems with two additional serial interfaces and enables the simple connection of compatible RS232 devices via a USB port. This allows existing serial devices to continue to be used with modern computers or laptops.
The integrated FTDI FT2232 chipset supports reliable data communication and enables the simultaneous operation of two independent serial connections. The adapter cable is suitable for configuration, communication and diagnostic applications with compatible serial devices.
With two 9-pin Sub-D connectors, various RS232 devices can be connected. Support for Windows 2000 and later, Linux and Mac OS X and later enables flexible use in various system environments.
The adapter cable supports data transfer rates of up to approx. 1 Mb/s and is suitable for expanding existing systems with additional COM ports without complex hardware installation.
