The dust protection caps keep photovoltaic connectors free of dust and dirt until cabling is complete. They are quickly fitted and removed, so open contacts remain clean during installation.
This is particularly useful for on-site installations and service deployments outdoors when strings are prepared or cables are not yet connected. In existing infrastructures of companies and public institutions, the caps also promote orderly working and help to avoid contamination at open cable ends.
