Was ist Hi-Res Audio?
Hi-Res Audio is a term coined by JEITA in 2014 and, in simple terms, stands for more detail in audio transmission with a resolution of at least 24 bits and a sampling rate of at least 96 kHz.
The trademark term of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) defines minimum standards for audio in the signal flow with a resolution of more than 16 bits and sampling rates higher than 44.1 kHz.
In practice, this means that audio signals are transmitted, played back or recorded with a resolution of at least 24 bits and a sampling rate of 96 kHz. Higher resolution and higher sampling rates mean that audio signals have a wider bandwidth. This broadens the spectrum, e.g. with greater bit depths. This in turn refines the sound and brings out more details.
Hi-Res Audio microphones, amplifiers and headphones can therefore record, amplify or play back audio signals with at least 96kHz, allowing you to enjoy music with greater detail. Only products that have been tested and approved by the JAS company are authorised to use the Hi-Res Audio designation.
For a multi-faceted music experience, it is important to note that the music file, the playback device (e.g. a smartphone) and also the playback device (e.g. headphones) must support the broader spectrum.
Hi-Res Audio headphone amplifier and equaliser from InLine
InLine offers various Hi-Res Audio headphone amplifiers and equalisers, e.g. with a jack connection, a USB port or a tube amplifier.
The InLine® AmpEQ Mobile with a rechargeable battery, for example, is the perfect companion for travelling. You simply connect the amplifier and equaliser between your smartphone and the headphones and adjust the sound to your liking using the various setting options.
The InLine® AmpUSB, on the other hand, is ideal for optimising the sound on a computer or laptop. It is simply connected to the computer via USB and integrated into the PC sound environment via a 6.3 mm or 3.5 mm stereo headphone output or via a combined 3.5 mm stereo audio line OUT and optical S/PDIF digital output.
