SATA cables

SATA is a transmission standard for data exchange between mainboards and internal drives (CD, DVD, SSD, HDD, etc.). The three most common protocols differ primarily in terms of data throughput (1.5 Gbit/s, 3.0 Gbit/s and 6.0 Gbit/s). They are upwards and downwards compatible with each other, whereby the system operates at the speed of the slowest component.

InLine offers a wide range of high-quality SATA cables with application-specific features such as optional shielding, safety tabs, different lengths and various connectors. External devices can also be connected to the PC using special eSATA cables. They differ from the internal variants primarily in terms of the connectors.

SAS cable

SAS stands for Serial Attached SCSI and is the successor to the parallel SCSI interface. The standard offers transfer rates of 3 Gbit/s and 6 Gbit/s and is backwards compatible with SATA thanks to almost identical connectors. The Mini-SAS connector is also a particularly compact variant.
